NES.app v0.45 is out. New features since last time include a new preferences section and the ability to delete roms. Also, many bugs have been fixed. Saving games is much more reliable and games are automatically saved when you hit the home button.
This update is highly recommended. Check out shots of the new preferences pane below.

iPhoneFrotz v0.1 is out. iPhoneFrotz is a Z-Machine interpreter which allows you to play all your favorite 80’s text adventure games, including Zork and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy on your iPhone.
You can also use it to play games from the interactive fiction archive, an online archive of user-created text adventures.

Two guys from DeliciousMonster have just released Lights Off, a new iPhone game. While it’s not exactly the first native iPhone game as they claim, it is quite possibly the best. The application looks very professional and is probably the most polished piece of homebrew iPhone software released yet.

Version 0.30 of NES.app is out. This version adds the ability to save games. Both in-game saving (like in Zelda) and “Save States” are supported. “Save states” will save your exact progress in any game and let you come back right where you left off the next time you play.

Stepwhite, the original creator of iPhoneNES, has just released the first version of iPhoneDOOM. This is a very early version. The game runs correctly in demo mode, but there are no controls and no sound yet. Also, the screen layout isn’t optimal.
Stepwhite is soliciting ideas for the best control scheme on the iPhoneDOOM wiki.

iPhoneNES v0.24 is out. This release seems to be focused on bug fixes. It includes speed improvements, better orientation flipping, and improved game support (PunchOut! and Metriod now work).
In addition, iPhoneNES has a new homepage and a new name. According to the new homepage, iPhoneNES is now called NES.app:
NES.app is based on the same code as iPhoneNES, but because they couldn’t keep up with all our changes, we thought it best to maintain our own site and svn repository.

iPhoneNES v0.21 is out. It includes more fixes for multi-touch which improves control response and it adds support for sound through the phone’s external speakers. Previously sound only worked
through headphones.

iPhoneNES v0.18 is out in the wild. This version adds the ability to switch between normal and landscape views during play. It also includes some bug fixes.
